Gazi Yar Mohammed

Co-founder & CEO

Gazi Yar had impactful 18-year banking career, starting from EBL as Management Trainee, and he rose up to C-level executive. He lastly worked at ONE Bank as EVP & Head of Digital Financial Services and led digital wallet and agent banking. He also worked as Head of Retail Banking at the same bank. He launched and led a successful retail bank and winning teams of retail credit, retail branches, sales team, and cards business. He also worked for City Bank and MTB as Head of Retail Credit and Head of Retail Business respectively.

Zia Hassan Siddique

Co-founder & COO

Zia Hassan started his career as Management Trainee at EBL and moved to Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) as an International Graduate. He rose up to senior manager through working in different capacities including high preforming branch manager, retail banking project manager and business finance manager. He worked at SCB for 9 years having deep insights about retail products, channels and retail underwriting and later started his entrepreneurial journey in the technology domain.

How we handle your data

  1. Dana explicitly requests permissions from users to share their transaction SMS alerts and device data to analyse creditworthiness of borrowers based on digital footprints to assist credit-excluded potential borrowers to have access to finance through by our partner financial institutions
  2. Customer device data or transaction data does not leave their device, we only take meta data required for credit eligibility check. Neither Dana nor financial partner can see any exact transaction SMS alert of potential borrowers, rather only key words having score weights go to system in meta data format. Dana determines the weights of multiple data points using machine learning techniques
  3. Our partner financial institutions use alternative data and credit scoring engine as alternative to traditional financial data used in underwriting. Each potential borrower is evaluated according to the same criteria in a fully automated method by our algorithms.
